HOW IT WORKS
Urban Depot and the Containers For Change scheme makes getting paid for recycling easy.
- Collect your eligible containers and remove the lids
- Enjoy the drive through recycling experience at Urban Depot!
Let us unload, sort and count your containers while you stay in your car. - We bring your cash refund to your vehicle or we deposit your refund into your scheme ID account.
WHAT’S AN ELIGIBLE CONTAINER
Most drink containers between 150ml and 3L are eligible for a refund under the
Containers For Change deposit scheme.
Please empty your containers, take off the lid and if uncertain check the label for a
“10 cent refund” marking.
*Not all containers that are eligible for return have markings on the label, if in doubt please download the Containers For Change app and scan the barcode to see if it is eligible.

Given the prevailing economic landscape, it’s with sadness that we announce the closure of our Maleny and Kenilworth drop-off locations.
